The China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association recently hosted an evaluation meeting in Weifang, Shandong, to assess the application of a high-efficiency magnetic levitation (maglev) vacuum system in the alumina industry. Attending academics and experts visited relevant maglev technology R&D centers and production facilities, speaking highly of the technical progress achieved.

Following evaluation, the committee confirmed that the system, developed through a collaboration of industry partners, has reached “internationally leading standards” overall. This advancement is poised to accelerate the green and intelligent transformation of China’s alumina sector. Furthermore, it provides a valuable technical pathway and practical reference for the high-quality development of the global nonferrous metals industry.
