Recently, the “Light Industry Science and Technology Innovation and Green Development Conference,” organized by the China National Light Industry Council, was grandly convened. Under the theme “New Quality Leads the Way, Building a Stronger Light Industry,” the conference brought together industry leaders, experts, scholars, and leading enterprises to explore innovative pathways for the high-quality development of the light industry. Recognized for its excellence in high-end magnetic levitation equipment manufacturing, SCO Power was invited to participate in the event.

As a sector with both traditional advantages and a vital role in sustaining livelihoods, China’s light industry has achieved milestone progress during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Beyond providing a diverse range of products that meet people’s aspirations for a better life, the industry has steadily advanced in technological innovation and green transition. From energy saving and emission reduction to resource recycling, and from smart manufacturing to green factory initiatives, the light industry is actively implementing the national “dual carbon” strategy, serving as a key pillar in China’s journey toward becoming a “manufacturing powerhouse” and a “green economy.”
During the keynote session, SCO Power’s representative emphasized that magnetic levitation energy-saving equipment has become a critical enabler in addressing high energy consumption during the light industry’s green transformation. In traditional production processes, general equipment such as vacuum pumps and blowers accounts for approximately 20% to 30% of total energy consumption. These systems also pose challenges including high noise, complex maintenance, and significant pollution, which have constrained overall energy efficiency improvements. By breaking through core technologies such as active magnetic levitation control and high-speed permanent magnet motors, SCO Power has successfully developed magnetic levitation energy-saving equipment. This equipment achieves up to 30% energy savings, operates at noise levels below 80 decibels, and runs completely without oil or water. Well-suited to the evolving demands of high-energy-consumption sectors such as papermaking, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and textiles, it has become a central driving force behind the industry’s green transition.
The award received by SCO Power reflects over a decade of dedication and continuous innovation in magnetic levitation technology. The company has established a comprehensive innovation system covering “standard setting, R&D, technological breakthroughs, and industrial application,” overcoming several international technological bottlenecks. It has developed eight categories of high-efficiency energy-saving products, including magnetic levitation vacuum pumps, blowers, and water chillers, completing a strategic shift from a pure equipment supplier to an integrated energy-saving solution provider.
